About the Hinge Research Institute

In 2008, we founded the Hinge Research Institute to fill a yawning gap in professional services marketing. Firm executives, marketers and enterprising professionals had few tools to determine what marketing strategies and techniques actually worked—and which were a waste of precious dollars and time. They were flying blind.

At the same time, some firms were performing at a much higher level than their peers—and repeating that success year after year. We wanted to find out what these high-performing firms did differently from other firms, and what factors gave them an advantage.

We are a game-changing resource for any organization that wants to reach a professional services audience.

Groundbreaking research into the professional services

To better understand the marketplace and shine light into the dark recesses of professional services marketing, the Hinge Research Institute embarked on an intensive research initiative—a project that continues to this day.

Today, we conduct research into a wide range of areas of interest to professional services firms. Each year, we release our signature High Growth Study, which explores the tools, techniques and strategies used by the fastest growing firms in key professional services industries. And we release studies on important issues, such as buyer behavior, employer branding, and how professionals become Visible Experts.

We make our findings and analysis available to anyone in the industry—many for free and some for purchase. We also describe our research and its practical applications in free webinars. We have also published five books.
