Industries such as accounting and finance; architecture, engineering and construction; consulting; technology and software; legal; and government contracting.

But firms that provide marketing and design services aren’t all alike. Hinge deftly brings data, strategy and aesthetics together in one beautiful, high-performing package.

An award-winning design team

Hinge’s design team has won hundreds of local, national and international awards. But we don’t deserve all the credit. Every design is a collaboration with the client. That means each award is also a public relations and brand-building opportunity for you.

Design founded on research

Many of our engagements include research, which gives our design team a strong foundation upon which to build. Data supplies invaluable insights into your culture, brand personality, competition and opportunities to differentiate your firm. This information informs many of the otherwise subjective decisions the designers must make—from colors and imagery to signature design elements and typography.

Memorable, differentiated brand design

Professional services firms are devilishly difficult to differentiate. Design can be a powerful component of your differentiation strategy. Buyers are visual creatures, and they make unconscious decisions based on visual information. At Hinge, we help firms develop visual brands that not only distinguish them from the crowd but also signal authority, expertise and leadership.

Digital versatility

Marketing today requires a diverse digital skillset. At Hinge, our design team has deep experience working on all kinds of digital deliverables, from websites and social media to digital marketing and business development collateral to advertising, animated content and video. Whatever your digital needs, we’ve got you covered.

Frequently asked questions about Hinge’s graphic design services

What is your design process?

The details of our process can vary depending on a project’s type and requirements, but a typical design engagement involves 7 phases:

  1. Discovery. This can include research and/or a kickoff meeting with your team. We consider what your competitors are doing, as well, so we can lead you into fresh blue waters.
  2. Creative Kickoff. We brief the creative team, including designers and writers, on your firm, the details of the project and your goals.
  3. Concept Exploration. Our designers explore a range of directions before narrowing them down, using research or other intelligence as guidance. Your account director acts as your representative to ensure each concept is on-strategy and meets Hinge’s high standards.
  4. Presentation. We present the best options to your team, explaining why we made key creative choices and how they address your challenge. We listen carefully to your live feedback.
  5. Feedback. We always encourage you to bring the designs back to your team and take the time to think about the options we have provided. If possible, we ask that you reconcile any conflicting feedback on your end so that we have unambiguous direction.
  6. Revisions. We carefully review your feedback and revise our designs accordingly. If we believe that a piece of feedback is off-strategy, it is our job to tell you. However, while we are here to advise you, the ultimate decision is always yours. Typically, multiple rounds of revisions and presentations are included in the scope of work.
  7. Delivery of Final Files. After you approve the final deliverable, we will package and supply the files to you or a service vendor. If a piece is being professionally printed, we work with the printer to ensure everything goes smoothly. In some cases, such as social media graphics and advertising, our marketing team may take the files and deploy them.

What design tools do you use?

We work with each client to select the design tools best suited to the project and the client’s needs. Below are just some of the more popular tools that we use on a regular basis:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, XD, Adobe Express, etc.)
  • Figma
  • Canva
  • Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Word)
  • Keynote
  • Adobe Firefly
  • Frontify

Do you use AI?

We frequently test and evaluate AI design tools. Currently, we use generative AI sparingly, and when we do, we are transparent about it with our clients. Clients should be aware that content that is entirely AI-generated lies in the public domain. The legal status of human-created artwork that is modified by AI is a gray area still being litigated in the courts.
