Hi, I’m Liz Harr and for those of you who know Hinge even a little, you probably know us for our research. Well today, I’m pleased to announce the release of a new report for Hinge’s 2017 Research: Marketing & Growth Insights for Tech Services Firms.

Now in this particular report, 168 firms participated and they really represented a healthy range of sizes. To give you an idea, from a revenue perspective about a quarter represent firms that are $50m and above, about a third are $5m and below and the rest were all in between.

Now we looked at various aspects of how tech services firms are competing and bringing in new business. We looked at top ways they differentiate themselves, what do they specialize in, what marketing techniques tend to be the ones that deliver the most impact when you’re selling technology as a service.

So in this report, you’ll find the top ways tech firms tend to differentiate, you’ll find the top most effective marketing tools they’re using and what delivers the most impact. You’ll get insights on what tech firms tend to measure, what metrics they’re continually tracking to hold those marketing strategies accountable for delivering on the investment.

Now so many firms that we talk to that are in the tech services space tend to experience, what I call accidental growth. And that is – they’re in the right place at the right time. They get a lot of business though word of mouth or referral only and suddenly they wake up to a very respectable size but without any real growth strategy in place. So in order to get to the next level of growth, they know that a very solid marketing strategy has to be at the heart of that.
