Senior Editor

As Senior Editor at Hinge, Emily oversees production of the firm’s written content. Her role brings her into contact with a wide range of Hinge projects, from creating positioning statements for clients, to editing blog posts and writing ebooks and guides.

Emily has worked in the writing and editing industry for over a decade in a variety of roles, including back-to-back stints as Senior Editor for two different Internet start-ups. In this capacity, Emily wrote press releases, white papers, website content, blog posts, and other content marketing on a daily basis. She also managed a team of 100 bloggers and taught classes on social media and SEO for community organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. She has a strong understanding of content marketing, SEO, social media, and blogging.

Emily holds a BA in English from Yale University and a Masters from the University of Maryland. She loves traveling and has lived and worked on 3 continents and is “rusty fluent” in Spanish. An amateur athlete, her two proudest athletic achievements are placing third in the Ultimate Frisbee World Championships in St. Andrews, Scotland, and winning her class in The Bermuda Race, a multi-day sailboat race from Newport, R.I. to Bermuda. In her spare time you will find her outside with her husband and two sons, hiking, sailing, skiing, or playing Ultimate Frisbee, depending on the season.
