Managing Director of Hinge Research Institute
Leveraging his deep leadership experience in corporate marketing, marketing consulting and creative agency environments, Kelly drives the Hinge Research Institute’s growth and thought leadership. On any given day, he can be found helping large companies get a better understanding of the professional services market through the Institute’s custom or licensed research—or advising firms and companies how to use research to drive content strategies and campaigns.
Before joining Hinge, Kelly spent more than 15 years acquiring hands-on B2B and digital marketing practitioner and management experience—guiding clients through the complex interplay of technology, processes, research/data, programs, creative and analytics.
Kelly is a recognized subject matter expert on a variety of B2B marketing topics including Account-Based Marketing (ABM), Marketing Automation Platforms (MAP) and Martech. He has won awards with Eloqua (now Oracle) and Marketo (now Adobe) for his innovation. A prolific writer and speaker, he has tens of thousands of followers on Twitter and LinkedIn. Kelly also serves as co-host of Hinge’s “The Visible Expert Podcast,” where each week he interviews well-known B2B CEOs, authors and industry thought leaders.
Kelly studied radio/tv/film and English at James Madison University (JMU). When not studying, he found time to meet and date his future wife there, as well. Go Dukes! To satisfy some of his creative needs, he finds time for woodworking — making and selling hand-crafted, live edge coffee tables and other items with his son.
